Companion Services
We provide non-medical assistance, observation, supervision and care for the health of adults with Intellectual Developmental Disability in their private homes and in the community.
At Lafia health care, our companion service is designed to support the individuals as they navigate the road to living independently and also to alleviate the feelings of loneliness and isolation.
Our dedicated staff who work with compassion are on-hand to supervise and help the individual by engaging in meaningful conversations, supporting them through emotional challenges, and promoting mental stimulation with activities outings and complete any task needed.
Homemaker/Chore
People living with intellectual disability need support to perform a wide range of functions such as personal care, medication management, communication, housework, dressing, grooming and meal preparation. These are keys to unlocking wellness for individuals living with Intellectual Developmental Disability.
At Lafia Healthcare, we also support the individuals to live safely and help them to be as independent as possible while maintaining open communication with family members and other caregivers about their needs and progress.
Transportation Services
We provide person-centered transportation services in and out of your home settings with compassion and care. Every Lafia Healthcare staff member (DSP) is trauma-focused and trained in Positive Behaviour Support.
Lafia Healthcare transportation services provide you with the freedom to go almost anywhere in a safe comfortable vehicle.
Community Participation Support
We support individuals with Intellectual Developmental Disability integrate within their communities to promote inclusion regardless of their abilities. At Lafia Health care, we believe everyone has a right to be active and accepted in their community. Supporting individuals with developing social skills that would make their community integration seamless is our priority.
Shift Nursing
At Lafia Health care, our nurses are experienced and provide the highest level of care with responsibility and integrity. We provide nursing services at the convenience of your home using individualized nursing care plan delivered with the highest level of professionalism. Our goal is to consistently deliver top-notch care in every patient-nurse encounter such as medication management, personal care, repositioning, vital monitoring and seizure activity tracker.
